Yoga Tips
Preparations for class
What to Wear
Yoga class is not a fashion show, so, we can all relax. Wear something comfortable, no jeans. Stretchy pants and 100% Cotton Clothing is recommended but not required.
Arrival
Come to class 10-15 minutes early to get yourself settled and signed in. If you do arrive late, don't worry, we wont laugh at you, just come in quietly, find a mat and begin your practice with us.
Digestion
You will get the most out of your practice if you allow 1-2 hours after a meal to practice with us. If you do or must eat before class, a small healthy meal is recommended. It will be easier to focus on your practice if your body isn't busy digesting.
Water
KEEP HYDRATED! The more water that you drink before, during and after your yoga practice will make you feel better. Yogic activities unlock stagnant toxins that are flushed away easier if you are hydrated well.

Choosing the right class
If it is your first time practicing yoga, you may want to start with a 'Gentle Yoga Flow' class. The 'Traditional Hatha Yoga Flow' is still available for you, however, it is recommended that you listen to your body and know that you may not be able to do every pose. Contact Melissa if you have any questions.
Om Shanti
